Engineered Geothermal System - EGS
This recent video-clip showcases the potential benefits of EGS technology and provides an overview of EGS. It explains the differences between EGS and conventional geothermal energy and explains the rationale for exploring EGS projects globally.
Geothermal Power Plant 3D Animation
This animation provides an illustrated schematic of a conventional geothermal system including well configuration, gathering field, power generation units, condensers and reinjection. In addition to conventional Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology, Activated Logic works closely with additional technology providers.
Recent Geothermal project
Southern Gold Limited (ASX: SAU) commissioned Activated Logic in August 2009 to complete the Roxby Geothermal Project - Information Memorandum (RGP-IM) and detailed scoping study. This comprehensive review of the Roxby Geothermal Project involved the compilation of company, industry and technical reports.
Furthermore, extensive project evaluation and optimisation studies were conducted through the application of industry best-practice techniques and proprietary business analysis methodologies.
A concise, 26-page extract of the RGP-IM is available for download from the Southern Gold website for the purposes of providing an introduction to these studies.
The full 160-page Roxby Geothermal Project - Information Memorandum (RGP-IM), including economic modelling is available for suitably qualified investors and industry participants upon request to Southern Gold Ltd.

Australian Geothermal Index
Activated Logic has developed the Australian Geothermal Index™. The Australian Geothermal Index (AGI) is the benchmark composite index of the 9 solely geothermal focused companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The AGI was based at 100 (as was the XAO) on the 1st of July 2008 to provide an indication of the relative performance of the AGI against the XAO.
